Your job will be to design the layout of our zoo!
First, you'll need to do some maths. Work out the expected perimeter and area of each enclosure, and use grid paper to cut out each 'enclosure' to scale. Label each with the animal type, perimeter and area.
Now, try arranging them in different patterns on a full A4 sheet of grid paper, to work out which arrangement fits best and you like the most (make sure you leave space between them for walkways and other features like eating areas).
This will be your first draft of your zoo's layout. From this, you can work out the total area of land your zoo would need.
Now that you've worked out the fiddly details, you need to design a more attractive map for the public to use when they visit!
